Safety

Ensuring the safety of our guests.

At The Setup on Dixon, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our guests, staff and wider community is our first priority.
As the novel coronavirus pandemic develops in New Zealand, and we reach Alert Level 4, we continue to be committed to providing a safe, clean hotel experience in an environment that puts people first.
We are following official advice from the New Zealand Government and monitoring any updates to this advice closely.

The deadline to check-in is 11.59pm Friday 27 March. After this time, you will be expected to remain checked-in to your room at The Setup Dixon until New Zealand is moved out of COVID-19 Alert Level 4.

The steps that we are taking to ensure safety and wellbeing are as follows:

  • Ensuring a limited-contact check-in and check-out service from Wednesday 18 March 2020.
  • Ensuring all onsite staff are thoroughly and regularly briefed on hygiene and emergency procedures and kept up to date as circumstances change.
  • Ensuring no-contact housekeeping and room service facilities
  • Ensuring the lobby and reception and all hotel common areas are sanitized every 30 minutes
  • Providing hand sanitizer at reception.
  • Ensuring all pens used by guests at check in are takeaway to minimize potential surfave transfer
  • Cleaning the reception desk and other high-touch common areas multiple times per day in line with Ministry of Health guidelines.
  • Ensuring pocket-sized Ministry of Health COVID-19 information cards are available on arrival, which includes the Healthline 0800 number, a list of symptoms and what to do if you have symptoms.
  • Sanitising rooms thoroughly before guest arrival and after guest departure

Important:
The Setup on Dixon will not be accepting any guests who are self isolating during this time. This includes guests who have recently returned from overseas, those waiting for COVID-19 results or those who are unwell.
The conditions of entry to the hotel are as follows:

  • That you are not  currently in a self-isolation period or awaiting COVID-19 test results.
  • That you have not  been in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case.
  • That you have not been in close contact with someone in self-isolation and/or awaiting COVID-19 test results.
